Extremely well presented. No fat...very concise.
A few additional thoughts:
Plug-in hybrids are by far the most environmentally green option. Soon most will provide about 50 mile range, the average driving distance of a US driver. Ergo, most days you use zero gas.
These cars having smaller batteries don't create substantial extra pollution during the manufacturing process like a 100% EV car. Ergo, they don't require the user to drive the vehicle to drive the car for 3-6 years to pay off the carbon penalty (pollution created during production).
As for the cost of EVs, BYD (the large Chinese manuf) produces its EV batteries in house for about half the price of an equivalent Tesla battery. In most South American nations, you can buy a BYD for prices starting at $10,000. Talk about cheap, efficient transportation.
That's not to say that Teslas aren't great cars. Simply that they are a niche product (not for everybody) & don't deserve any gov subsidies.
