Who are the highest paid public employees by state? What do they all do? WTF?

Basically, it's all coaches (mostly football with a little hoop thrown in). Oh, yes it's 96% men.

Highest Paid State Employees In The USA

A state employee is an individual who is employed by an agency in any branch of a state government. A state employee can otherwise be known as a special state appointee or a state officer.

There are chances that the highest-paid public official in your state of residence isn’t a school dean or the governor, definitely not. The highest-paid state employee in your state is probably a football or basketball coach — and by a wide margin.

Not minding the very great in size majority of America, the highest-paid public employee in the US is not the governor or a justice of its Supreme Court, but a college coach. Football coaches at public schools are placed at the top of the list, but basketball coaches are cashing in big-time, also.

In a situation where the cases are many, medical professionals, university administrators, or other positions earn the biggest pay.

If you would like to be the highest-paid public employee, the safest thing to do is to learn your Xs and Os. It’s worthy of note that out of 50 states in the US, 48 of the highest-paid positions are held by men.
